Keith Tuggle. Rcd. cards from Warren Buell and Mary Hilt Call from Fay Hartog. She wanted me to know that she hadn't forgotten to check into the matter of my AGOG royalties. She is having trouble getting info because they are working on the current royalties. I told her there is no rush - "since it might very well be bad news." Also told her I was thinking about a book for Fabio. Called {Amy Baker (see 11/13) 280-7147 as I had promised Fay I would. Spoke to her about her ani- mal box paper folding. Told her about Felicia as an agent. So far she has 4 animals. Told her she should have at least 8 to makeup a kit. She'll work on it after her finals. Call from Felicia. She had a call from Burt Huber. He is returning THE 31ST HEX and PUSHOVER. It was not that he doesn't think that they are good. They have a new V.P., transferred from Canada, at Springbok who thinks that they have enough of the puzzle-games and wants to go on with other games. The prototype of HONORABLE RELATIONS has been made up, but it still in question whether they'll go ahead with it. The puzzle-games sold well at wholesale but don't seem to be doing too well at retail, though Burt didn't seem at all worried. He They [strikeout] don't think they are being displayed properly. I said that they had to be advertised and Felicia said that she had men- tioned that, Burt said that the "Hallmark Hall of Fame" would just push the Hallmark name and not Springbok. CUBITS is by far the most popular of the games. They have a big back order for it but have trouble getting wood for the dice. They wouldn't have any trouble getting plastic, but that would add too much to the cost. Felicia gave copies of CUBITS, THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS, and FITTING & PROPER. The other day he pointed to THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS and said it was a great game. In the current issue of PLAYTHINGS, ACQUIRE, FACTS IN FIVE, and STOCKS AND BONDS are listed as selling well in Los Angeles area. She hears that business is good at F.A.O. Schwarz and Rappaports. A fellow, Larry Reiner, who used to work for Ideal and is now a consultant thinks that 1974 will be a big year for games. She said that Entex was crazy about BREAKDOWN, but can't get plastic now to do it. On the channel 7, 7 o'clock news there was a rather long piece on MONOPOLY, shot at the Parker office at 200 Fifth, I think. In my talk with Felicia she said that Bob Johnson worked for Hallmark and Burt Huber for Springbok and the two are really different corpor- ations (like Chevrolet and Pontiac).
