9 SUNDAY- DECEMBER 1973
SECOND SUNDAY IN ADVENT- 343RD DAY- 22 DAYS TO COME
Wrote rules for SUPERGHOSTS.
Going over material for next column. Played NEXUS and
MUFKI-PUFKI with BB.
Called Claude and told him about Hallmark's new directions (see
12/6). He told me about a German card game some of his
fellow church members play. They think the name might
be SAABEN or WALLACHEN (I looked for them but couldn't find
any reference to them). He has a copy of the rules that
prepared for him and he'll give it to me.
Thinking of my old game with dice called CONEY ISLAND and its
adaption into a p&p game. (Later thought of the name COLLECT.)
(cont. from 12/10) [12/11]
Took two games in the new packaging: DESERT WAR (Simultaneous movement
pad was missing), NATO.
Was going to run off some copies of material for my father to translate
but Jim D. said they were short of paper and having trouble getting
more.
To Kopy-Kwik and copied both sides of the rules for CONTACTIC,-
one side of TOPOLOGIK, one side of SPECTRUM, (discovered that there
was necessary material on the other side.
Gave my father the copies for him to translate and will give him
the missing sheet next time I see him. //Called Phil Orbanes and ar-
ranged to go there tomorrow.
At S.P.I. took 4 copies of S&T #41. The game is KAMPFPANZER. Also
At S.P.I. also took two sheets of "Consolidated Errata & Addenda (as of 31 May 73)." Covered CENTURION, GRUNT, LOST BATTLES, USN,
COMBAT COMMAND, FLYING CIRCUS, BORODINO, WINTER WAR, ARMAGEDDON,
YEAR OF THE RAT, DESTRUCTION OF ARMY GROUP CENTER. (Actually took it
tomorrow.)
Claude called while I was out and I called him back when we returned
from my father's. He was thinking of meeting me tomorrow at
Brentano's. Told him that I wouldn't be there and that I was meet-
ing BB to go to a movie, so we won't get together.
He saw copies of HEX-O-GRAM somewhere near Chambers St.
Told him I had it.
At the store across from Alexander's Hardware store he bought three
good sized bags of an imitation of "Lego." 69₵ each. He said that
they have a lot of them there.
