7 FRIDAY- DECEMBER 1973
341ST DAY- 24 DAYS TO COME
Finally found the I CHING in one of the 12 Bekin's Boxes
in the game room. (very relieved.)
As a possible action GAME for Hallmark, thinking of having the idea
of the three magnets being pushed in a race. Latest idea. Have
a separate raised path for each player and all race at the
same time. If go over an edge must go back to a specific line-
of several along the way.
In Haar Hoolim's last letter he mentioned Lewis Carroll's card game
COURT CIRCULAR. Looked for it in DIVERSIONS & DIGRESSIONS but
it wasn't there. Found it in THE WORKS OF LEWIS CARROLL, which
I'll add to the collection.
In connection with Bill Tyler's mention of THREE PLAYER CHESS I
looked at Brentano's catalog again. Found a section I missed on
"Chess" which, [illegible strikeout] among others, showed CHESS DICE and THREE PLAYER CHESS.
Another section- "Divination" - showed, among others, NUMEROLOGY,
GALAXY GAZER, JAMES BOND 007 TAROT GAME, ESP, and I CHING.
Painted the book shelf shelves in the upstairs game room.

mailed it to me, but then located it. He'll hold on to it.
Someone sent him a program for solving a lot of
TANGRAMS problems that had never been solved before--
such as that there are only 18 possible 5 sided fig-
ures that can be made with a set, and also what they are.
Call from Alan Newman. He was wondering if he had to use
Felicia where he already had a contact prior to meeting
Felicia. For instance he had a very good relationship with
D.D.I. They almost took a game of his -SUPER STAR
THE SUPERSTAR GAME- but finally after months said
no.
He has a word GAME which he says is very different.
He called S&R and they said they'd like to see if after Toy Fair.
Felicia once gave him an assignment and he came up
with THE GREAT AMERICAN ECOLOGY GAME. While he was doing
it Felicia showed another game to International Paper (I
believe) and they liked it and didn't want to look at Alan's.
I tried to show Alan both sides of the story but didn't give
him any specific advice.
Alan would like to make a living from games and I told him to
wait until he could live on his game income for at least two years.
His family may finance his games. I told him to allow lots for publicity.
He has sent an article to NEW YORK mag. with a quick return. Another
mag. CITY GAMES- a local sports mag.- was interested in his writing
