6 THURSDAY * DECEMBER 1973
340TH DAY * 25 DAYS TO COME
Call from Felicia. She spoke to Bob Johnson. He said that Hallmark
is not interested in looking at more strategy games
now. Instead they are interested in "social games which are
designed for large and small groups. These games can be crazy fun
or intellectually stimulating."
They are also interested in "Action Games". He ha s TOTTER
"but one game a line does not make."
He said he'd like to see Sid Sackson's ESPIONAGE, which of
course is not mine. I'll work on improving FOREIGN INTRIGUE.
Bob would like a "finance" but within the above social context.
He didn't like THE MONEY GAME (GOLD). I'll work on improving
THE BRAIN GAME.
Felicia told him about 3D BOXES (SPACE) and he is anxious to
see it.
Their object is to have a complete spectrum of games so that
stores handling them won't need any other compan company's
games.
He is just getting to looking at SPECTRUM. Burt is out
of town so they'll [there'll?] be no answer on THE 31ST HEX and
PUSHOVER for awhile.
Felicia doesn't want to send any packages during the X'Mas
rush and Bob agrees. He will be in in January to look
at games.
Felicia didn't receive her check for THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS
and FITTING & PROPER yet. Bob told her they'd take care
of it if she doesn't.
Told Felicia about yesterday at Brentano's and that I'd be
there next Tuesday. She'll be in the neighborhood and will
drop in.
Call from Bob Champer. He suggested the following 3 as the most
important battles for MACARTHUR.
1. Japanese landing in Phillipines - Dec. '41.
