Looked at games: Skor-Mor: - 5IVE STRAIGHT; this is
undoubtedly
undoubtedly the same as 99 (see 5 x 3 card file) - the board
is the same as the one on the second card except that
the "X" space is replaced with an "O". YESTERYEAR - move
a long a board and answer questions. PRIME TIME. (Didn't
look in any of the Skor-Mor packages - shrink wrapped.)
WORDMATE (Family Toys, Inc. - Boonton, N.J. 07005). Letters
with point values show at windows - abt 15 or more in a row.
Apparently the whole alphabet on each. (Again couldn't look
inside.)
University Creations Inc. INVEST, which at home I discovered
was the same as a game published in 1958 by "Research & Promotion
Co.", and that Phil Orbanes gave me. ROADBLOCK; there are 16 wood
pieces, 14 [drawing of a square, bisected vertically with the right half bisected horizontally] and 2 [drawing of a square, bisected vertically and horizontally]. These are put at random in a 4 x 4 frame, except
that the 2 "+" pcs. [pieces] cannot be next to each other (including diagonally?).
There is a plastic overlay with a number of U.S. cities, located so that
they are in the quadrants of the pcs. [pieces] - no more than 1 in any quadrant.
A number of "trips" including different nos. [numbers] of cities are noted.
Each has a basic score and a bonus per move for solving in less
