She has been sending things to <u>Roger Verhulst</u> but hasn't heard
from him. I told her I'd check if he covered any M.B. [Milton Bradley] games.<br>
She told me that <u>Richard Moon</u> of the ''<u>SAN JOSE TIMES</u>'' has
been syndicated in 4 or 5 other small papers.<br>
She told me that the ''<u>LOS ANGELES TIMES</u>'' has a column on games,
but one that goes into specific small areas, such as one column
on [Illegible strikeout] tennis sneakers.<br>
She asked if I knew <u>BACKGAMMON</u>. Of course. Howard Bern, the
General Manager of Grossingers is interested in setting up a
clinic and tournament on the weekend of 3/15/74. <s>The</s> M.B. [Milton Bradley] was
invited to supply the sets and Mickie is not sure whether they
will be doing that. In any case Bern wants to get someone to
run the event. He has checked with the big names and they
want in the neighborhood of $10,000 for a weekend. She will tell
him about me and have him call me if he is interested.<br>
Mickie's assistant gave me a repro of an announcement of
a press preview of a charity <u>BACKGAMMON</u> affair, tomorrow
morning at 10. (Filed in M.B. [Milton Bradley] folder.)<br>
