To "Gamut of GAMES". Gave Phil the rules for WILDCAT,
INVESTIGATION, EMPIRE, SPECULATE (Phil reminded me of
Graeme's SPECULATE but he liked the name to present it to Manny).
The games he gave to Manny are THE GREAT RACES, TRIVIA,
MISSING LINK, LAND BARON, and HEXOWORD (which he didn't tell me
of before). We won't be getting any reactions from him for some
time, Manny that is. I'll bring the next batch of rules next week.
Took a repro of Phil's rules for THE GREAT RACES.
Looked at G & P #20, which Phil had there. Had rules for REVERSI.
Had a listing of bestbuys for X'Mas. Included SLEUTH but not
ACQUIRE. Also had my SLEUTH games view. There was a loose folder
from Intellect Games. Made repros of the info on STOCKBROKER,
SPANISH CHATTER, FRENCH CHATTER, and CABBIE.
Also saw a letter from Graeme saying that Spears didn't want
to publish CARTEL, REALM, INFINITY, and MONTAGE. He will try a
smaller company - the one who put out THE SIGMA FILE.
Phil said that 75,000 each of original 5 p & p games were run off, and all will be sold.
At one of those X'Mas stores on 23rd St. bought POKA-TILE (an
1961 Ideal game which I had seen but not bought). Among
other very old items they had Parker's FLAG GAME.

To S.P.I. spoke to Jim Dunnigan and told him about Felicia's suggestion
that Dorothy Shapiro get a subscription to S & T. He'll
send her one. Took copies of S & T #37, 38, 39, and 40.
Checked with Redmund and two weeks from now is O.K. for my
next column.
Ran off copies of three Dutch game rules to give my father
some work: - SIROCCO, ZIG-ZAG, and WIEKSLAG (later discovered
that there were French rules for this one - but I'll give it to
dad anyway so that he can check his translation).
