Martin suggested that I might try to market a set of
MINI-GAMES, the smallest meaningful board for various
standard games. He has found that 5x5 is the minimum
for CHECKERS, also for CHESS so that all moves - including
castling and en passant - and pcs. [pieces] are involved. 3 pcs. per
person is far from trivial for CHINESE CHECKERS. (I asked
him why he didn't do it himself. It's just out of his line.)
He suggested that, since the occult is getting more and
more followers - even among intellectuals, I might do well
with an ESP GAME. Told him that a number have been
done, without much success. (Mentioned that of the
people who buy TAROT cards I doubt if 1 in a thousand okay
actual games with them.)
He told me of an acquaintance of his who plays CHOMP using
raisin set up in an array. The one to be avoided is a
different color (the one in the corner opposite the starting
corner). To remove the raisins an edge set with a
right angle is used for pushing them away. He said I
was welcome to make any use I wish of this idea.
