I said that I didn't want to make another model and Felicia
agreed. She'll show it to M.B. [Milton Bradley] next. It will be a couple of weeks
since she is very busy. In the meantime I will prepare pcs. [pieces] in
4 colors and work out rules for 4 players. Incidentally, the
O-I people said that it would be just right for Leisure Dynamics
(Lakeside).
They did take MINEFIELD and another item I don't know. They
are sending advanced and are giving 5% even tho she, because
of the high cost of materials, hinted she'd take less.
Told Felicia that I had the "Lily cups" and would work on a
GAME.
A messenger delivered a box with ECLIPSE, OVER 'N OVER,
PAIR OFF, and POP-SHAPE-AND SHATTER - no letter. I told Felicia
that I'd like to know what his reason for returning them was.
Felicia called and then let me speak to him. He said that he, Stubmann
showed them at a meeting with the sales people etc. <s>in which
the</s> that had been set up to consider children's toys, so they
just weren't attuned to them and rejected them without
any study. He personally said they were all good items and
showed a lot of talent.
He suggested that they be resubmitted, 2 at a time, the
first two in about 2 weeks. They will have a better
chance if submitted to Mr. Greenberg or Mr. Frankel at
200 Fifth Ave. It is a matter of ego and he, Stubbman, doesn't
give a damn as long as we all can make some money on them.
Since plastic is so expensive and hard to get he suggested
redoing POP-SHAPE-AND SHATTER in cardboard, covering them
with shiny colored paper. ECLIPSE should be done in a
smaller version and should have a tray for keeping the
layers in place.
When resubmitting the items Felicia should <s>she</s> say that
they were seen by Mr. Stubbman who returned them to us
