Jim Dunnigan called to say that S.P.I. did better this September
than any other month ever. They're having a party tonight
to celebrate and I'm invited. (Didn't go because of painting.)
Remembered that Jim told me last time I was in that he rcd.
about $8,500 in royalties from A.H. but they kept him waiting
about 2 months.
Called Issy Rothman and made a date for 11/9. He'll arrange

He also went to Munich to visit a fellow who is translating
ABBOTT'S NEW CARD GAMES into German for publication there. He
is the one who was instrumental in having Bob's EGGHEAD
put out in Germany. He also conducts a TV program and
Bob appeared on it. He was asked if he makes a living
from inventing games and he said the Sid Sackson, the
inventor of ACQUIRE, was the only one he knows who makes
any money on games.
He gets together with a mensa group that likes to play games
other than CHESS and BRIDGE. They are ACQUIRE fans.
He enjoyed the meeting at S.P.I. and would like to do it again.
Told him I'd try to set something up.
