18 TUESDAY * SEPTEMBER 1973
261ST DAY * 104 DAYS TO COME

Rcd. [received] letter from Graeme Levin with carbon of his letter to Mr. Shapiro concerning AGOG. He suggested that I call Mr. Shapiro.
Rcd. [received] letter from Earl Perel with two clippings from PENTHOUSE Magazine. He'd like the clippings back.
One is for "Diplomat Games." Their new one is V.D. A CATCHY GAME (VICE DICE). Also mentions AROUND THE WORLD IN BED, STRIP TAC TOE, BUMPS AND GRINDS, OFFICE PARTY, RISQUE, and ADULTERY. The other is "F", THE GAME FOR LOVERS - by G.E. Promotions.

Called Felicia. She finally heard from Stan Harfenist yesterday. He'd like to hold 3D BOXES longer, but with the jump in prices in everything they've had to drop projects and have lost a lot of holding money. Felicia said that we'd have to have at least $500 to show that they are serious. He said that was impossible. Felicia said that she had a hunch - that could be completely off - that she has a company that will take it (Owens - Illinois, which I suggested to her yesterday as being better bet than M.B. [Milton Bradley]) and wants him to send it back. He said he would, right away, but if she doesn't place it by January please to let them have another crack at it.
Later call from Felicia. She decided to try and sell something to Kohner and wanted to know If I'd like to show my stuff. Why not? She checked and can get a date to go see Irving Stubman (the new owner, the Kohners having sold out - I believe) on Oct. [October] 2 I will drive with whatever I want to bring of mine. The place is in East Patterson. I said that it is perfectly all right with me if she takes other things. But she said that she might want to bring one of Dennis' children's things - that's all. At first the date was set for 10:30 but I had Felicia change it - to 2:00 PM - so that I could avoid the morning rush.
Felicia will send me the Kohner catalog (game and puzzle part).

Call from Ira Mothner, who is doing a piece on games for COSMOPOLITAN. He is a free-lance and is interested in my being one too. Made date for him to come here tomorrow at 4.

Looked at the HONORABLE RELATIONS rules I got from Felicia yesterday. The pieces are made nobility in a feudal society. This works pretty well. There are some ambiguities I'll have to write to Burt Huber about.
Looked at the rules for CORNER-THE-MARKET that I also got from Felicia yesterday - to be returned. Couldn't get it all since she didn't have the equipment, but it is like MONOPOLY - with some extra gimmiks.

Incidentally, when Felicia told Irving Stubman's secretary that Sid Sackson is the country's foremost game inventor, she the secretary said - "after Irving Stubman."
