12 Wednesday - September 1973
Old Defenders' Day (MD.) - 255th day - 110 days to come
Stan Chess called and we made a date - the Bredehorns
will be there too - for 9/21 at his new
apartment {Stan Chess [address and telephone number]
He said to be sure to bring RED LETTER to play.
I mentioned that PATTON had come out. Stan can stand
war games, but George can't.
Call from Cathy Greenblat (see 8/29). She asked if I had
rcd. [received] the notice on the NATIONAL GAMING COUNCIL meeting.
Yes, but I just can't make it.
She said she still will take me up on my offer to have
her visit and I said I want her to. She call me in a few
weeks.
She gave me her numbers: {Cathy Greenblat [home and school telephone numbers]
Told her about Chris Linville (see 9/1). He just called her after
seeing a writeup on her.
Wrote up the rules for THE 31ST HEX and almost finished
those for PUSHOVER.
Dale wanted to know if I was in contact with Bob Champer.
I'll be getting a copy of PATTON to him. Dale wants Bob to
call them.
(cont. from 9/13) [9/17]
this is FOX & GEESE with the line of the board superimposed
on a map of the 13 colonies. CALIFORNIA GOLD RUSH,
this is similar to his LAND-BARON, with same small cardboard
pieces and a map of California.
Played two game of 500 RUMMY with dad and Ilka. Dad
won one and Ilka the other.
Gave dad the Italian sheets I made today to translate.
BB had a call from Ira Mothner, who is preparing a piece on
games for COSMOPOLITAN Magazine. He'll call tomorrow morning.
Felicia called and wants me to call tomorrow morning,
concerning 3D BOXES.
[arrow pointing to paragraph above and paragraph below] [started 9/17]
Phil Orbanes told me that AQUARIUS 2, which he sold outright was doing
the best of Hoi Polloi's high priced ($10) items.
