her sick father, so the date Friday at Stan Chess' is
called off. Stan will call me about a new date.
Told Dorothy about Owens-Illinois being interested in George's
PSYCHOLOGICAL BLOCKS.
Rcd. Sears X'Mas book. Lots of games and puzzles, but only
a few that are new to me : - X-Y COORDINATE, SOCCARENA,
SKIDDLES, AIR HOCKEY ($295.00), SUB SEARCH (M.B.), HUMMING TOPS,
RACING TOPS, SHIFTY CHECKERS (which I saw at Toy Fair),
FLIP-IT JACKPOT, HIGHWAY POLICE CHASE GAME. (Filed in '73 Misc.)
[Started 9/19]
(cont. from 9/21) [9/24]
TOTALLY - - with me to go over them and see that they are
O.K.
To Pierce Promotions. Jack Davis gave me copies of
MR. WHO, STAC-TAC-TOE, and GO. Offered me BACKGAMMON
but when he said he only had two copies I said I was in
no hurry to get it. He asked if I could teach them how
to play BACKGAMMON and I told him, and Audrey later,
that they should give me a call to set up a date. Took
a copy of their new catalog. Jack offered me copies of
CHALLENGE FOOTBALL and CHALLENGE GOLF but
I couldn't carry them now. Incidentally, NEO-CHESS is not in the catalog.
Jack showed me MASTER MAZE which he thought was a bore.
I thought it wasn't bad of its kind.
To 4 Seasons with BB for Parker's 90th Anniversary dinner.
Got two copies of special hardcover edition of 90 YEARS OF FUN.
There are only 500 copies - mine are 235 and 335. Also got
two heavy metal cars - blown up MONOPOLY pieces.
Took a copy of the guest list.
Sat at table with Marvin Kaye and his wife Sarah Lee and
the Wall St. correspondant for the Chicago Tribune. Marvin said
that A TOY IS BORN started off pretty well but then tapered off. In
the office he works at he came across an old copy of Parker's
CALLING ALL CARS and said he'd give it to me. (Thought that I had a
card on it, but couldn't find it when I looked later.)
Noticed that Sandra Garson was there. Before I had a chance to
go to her table she came to ours. She doesn't know if that pc.
