included. Pierre was pretty sure it could.
I asked Pierre to let me look at the rules before they were
finalized. O.K.
I told Pierre that I was trying to find out where the remaining
copies of NINE OF SWORDS were.
Pierre told me that he had a copy of ÉCOPLANY that he could send
me. I said that I'd like to see it, but that a copy of the
rules and a description of the equipment would <s>be</s> probably
be plenty for me.
I asked Pierre (actually before he told me about ÉCOPLANY)
whether there was anything I could get for him. He is
interested in getting back numbers of the JOURNAL OF RECREATIONAL MATHEMATICS
from the beginning of 1971 to the present and then a subscription.
He said he'd reimburse me for whatever the back numbers
cost and pay for the subscription himself. I said that I'd
pay for the back numbers and let him send me things
against the cost. He said that it would be quite expensive
and that we should start the balancing after this.
He gave me the address of "Greenwood Periodicals," the
publisher.
He told me about a game SIMULATION 2 that is similar
to a simulations war game except that it uses an
electronic device (that doesn't work a lot of the time)
instead of a die. He asked if I'd like to see it. I
said only material on it, but not the game itself.
SIMULATION 1 is played with a computer.
Pierre may be coming to the U.S. in connection with a
science fiction magazine that he may be translating. Invited him
to stay here.

Called Claude to see if he was coming to Felicia's tomorrow
to sign the DUEL contract. (I'm to call tomorrow at about 2 to check.)

Called Jerry D'Arcey to see how Susie Thibault was feeling.
(On 8/12 Jerry had said she was very sick.) She is O.K. and
