2 Sunday - September 1973
Twelfth Sunday after Pentecost - 245th day - 120 days to come
Played the 31ST HEX with the Horns. Used the rules of
8/18 except that I didn't allow a pc. [piece] to be moved and it
from one place to another unless the player is out of pcs. or
none of his remaining pcs. [pieces] will fit when to replace another pc.
Played that with partners but each player has a goal and only
he can put a [illegible crossed out] pc. in that goal - only one is req'd. [required]
They loked it.
Played WINDFALL. They liked the play but felt that the layout
was cluttered. Dave and I discussed ways of clearing it up.
Dave solved the 31ST HEX puzzle - coming up with yet
another solution.

Jerry just forgot to send me the card he promised.
Dick Harris took Jerry's TOP DOG, and also a children's
GAME that Jerry did himself - played with cards with
faces (no further info), with him for consideration.
He wouldn't take a GAME that Frank Thibault showed him
because M.B. is already working on something similar.
Jerry will be coming to N.Y. in about 3 weeks, on some
other business but will bring some games to show.

get back at the end of the month - to arrange to get together.
To "Gamut of Games." Played WINDFALL with Phil. He liked it
except that he felt that it was very frustrating to have
all "capital" in 10's. Compromised on having the capital boxes
changed - each line - to [5] [5] [10] [10] [10] [10] [20]. Phil didn't think that
Carl would go for using part of a second space for additional
capital. Instead he suggested cutting two spaces of the "Market
Price" area when two played. I agreed reluctantly, but
still would like my original way as a variant.
Remembered that I had forgotten to give bring Roger Verhulst's
address. I'll give it to Phil when he calls me.
He remembered a game - BIRD WATCHER - that he played as a kid. He
asked if I had it. Yes, and I'll give him info when he calls.
Phil asked me if I knew how the "Wff 'N Proof" Company was doing.
Don't have any definite word, but they haven't come up with a
added anything to the line in some time and they haven't been
exhibiting personally at the shows.
