Rcd. [received] THE GAMESLETTER #62. Has flyer for G&P. Mentions some books on Simulations: - THE BOMB AND THE COMPUTER; THE CRISIS GAME; VENTURE SIMULATION IN WAR, BUSINESS AND POLITICS. Phil Cohen discusses GAMES FOR THE SUPERINTELLIGENT. Mention of book MAZES & LABYRINTHS: THEIR HISTORY & DEVELOPMENT. THE SPARTAN (Mag.) has a game OMAHA BEACH, and a variant A PANZERBLITZ SUPPLEMENT.

Called Eve Auchincloss and asked if she'd want an X'mas game article for the WASHINGTON POST. She'll check with Washington & call me back tomorrow.

Call from Felicia. She finally contacted Stan Harfenist and he'll give us an answer on 3D BOXES Monday. Felicia said that this is the most commercial thing I've ever done.
I told her about Parker of England's ESCAPE FROM COLDITZ. She wondered if she should tell American Greetings in connection with Andy Luftig's ESCAPE. I couldn't see why she should.
Burt Huber wants more puzzle - games which meet his specifications (see 5/23).
She wants me to take away a lot of the things that have been everywhere - "I can use the parts for other games." She wants to set up a shelf of just my things. LOTTERY she definitely wants to keep.
SPECTRUM came back very well packaged and the best postal service. Herb Roth has gotten some kind of a screwing, similar to the one she got with SCRABBLE.

Started working on a puzzle-game - later called THE 31ST HEX - and made a rough layout.

BB started typing the letter I wrote to Gini Scott yesterday but objected to some parts. I'll fix it tomorrow.

Rcd. two cartons containing 6 each of REALM, MONTAGE, INFINITY and CARTEL.

Told Claude about Burt Huber wanting more puzzle - games and the specifications for them.
Told Claude I wouldn't tell Earl about this since he won't work thru Felicia and this is information from her.
