Call from Felicia. She rcd. [received] a letter from Kathy Brooks. They are returning SPECTRUM. It has too much "mechanisms." She thinks there is a good game idea if I can get rid of some of the "mechanisms."
She spoke to Hallmark (who?) and they are going to try and get more than the $1,000 for holding my RED LETTER, ANOTHER, DIGIT, PE-LING, and TROMINO GO. The greatly appreciate her cooperation in the entire matter.
The puzzle-game orders are "going great guns" altho they are still not ready to ship.
IMPULSE is being returned separately. She forgot to ask them about TOTALLY--.
I suggested that TOTALLY-- would fit in well with Parker's format for GRAPPLE, BOGGLE, and FLUSTER, even tho Felicia said that Parker had previously rejected it. She said that the 3 word games were not doing well - in fact none of Parker's new things are doing well.
She asked if I had heard from Bob Gellman. She hasn't. Told her I'd call him. Did. Not in and left word for him to call me.

Using an order blank that came with S&T #4239, discovered that I have all the Simulations games except the following: NATO, SNIPER!, SOLOMONS CAMPAIGN, BULL RUN, and PHALANX (I have this in a manila envelope, but not in the boxed version). Also learned that THE BATTLE OF STALINGRAD is now called TURNING POINT (is the game the same?).
Put name stickers on the ends of all the boxed games so that I can find them without looking thru the entire pile.

Call from Felicia. She tried to contact Stan Harfenist about 3D BOXES but he is home sick.
If Lakeside doesn't take it she would like to drive to MB to show it there. She offered to pay for the gas and take everyone to lunch.

Sent the PLAYTHINGS card for information on ODYSSEY - INTERPLANETARY VOYAGE.

Felicia said that O'Connor Barrett will be sending Hallmark his ideas for manufacturing TOTTER (which they are trying to prepare a prototype of and having trouble with) and PITFALL (which they returned because of difficulty to manufacture).

TIME Magazine in "Medicine" has a piece on a "game" distributed by the Michigan Heart Association called RISKO.
