To Simulations, Gave Redmund my expanded column for S&T #40, including glossies of 2-hand HYPERCHECKERS and HYPERCHESS. He'll try and get it all in. If he runs into any space problems he will contact me.
Redmund had a copy of 1812, (WAR OF). Reproduced the board, rules, and historical commentary (some of the latter is illegible) and copied the pieces. (Filed together with QUEBEC 1759.)
Redmund gave me a copy of S&T #39. The centerfold game is THE FALL OF ROME.
Made repros of CHINESE CHESS, A MANUAL OF and INTRODUCTION TO CHINESE CHESS - to give to Earl.
One of the fellows at the front desk told me that a computer software salesman said he knew me. It was a former Weir member.

Took copies of FOXBAT & PHANTOM (Parts missing) and EL ALAMEIN. Ken Hoffman, who works there during the summer, is writing a paper for college on American gov't. [goverment] and history games. Told him about THE GUIDE TO SIMULATIONS (GAMES FOR EDUCATION AND TRAINING and found out that Al Nofi had another copy there.
Ken is interested in games like WHO CAN BEAT NIXON? and MR. PRESIDENT. He'll probably come to visit me and look at some of them. He is interested in buying some and I told him that I had a copy of MR. PRESIDENT I'd sell for half price.

At Kopy-Kwik bought 10 more dozen pencils for $1.50. Mainly blue and greens.

To R.G.I. Gellman not expected back until Friday.
To Cadaco. Dan Monahan not in and the secretary didn't know the list (retail) price of MASTER MIND. She'll find out and I'll drop in again.
They had OH HELL there. Seemed the standard game with the addition of "bid" cards.
To G.&R. They still don't have GAMBIT. The company (which is basically in the furniture business) is busy with other things. They are still showing EL GAME, ARVESTA, CHIRP, etc.
To "Gamut of Games." Phil has date tomorrow night with Carl Eisenberg. Not very sociable.

Rcd. [received] a clipping of THE TIMES-HERALD (see 8/3). Mentions me and the following:- SCRABBLE, MONOPOLY, CHALLENGE FOOTBALL,
