9 Thursday - August 1973
221st day - 144 days to come
Call from Felicia. She rcd. [received] two calls from a Hallmakr
secretary (Burt's) yesterday. Felicia called today and all it
was was that she had a check for $500 made out to me -
for HONORABLE RELATIONS- and it is O.K. to send it. Yes.
2nd call. She was asked by the inventor of CUBITS how many
copies were planned. She didn't remember ever being told.
Neither did I.
She was in touch with Bob Gellman and, at his request,
sent the HOLIDAY contract to him so that he could change
the address, etc. She gave him some of her contacts,
such as "Yankee Peddler" that she built up with BALI so that
he can use them for HOLIDAY and PATTON. Next week she'll
let him look at her whole file.
3rd call. She wondered if anything was happening with
Viewmaster. Told her that the whole thing fizzled. She
has a non-game item, by Dennis I believe, that he did
with Viewmaster in mind. She could show it elsewhere however,
and I my opinion was that that would probably be
more lucrative.
Rcd. TOYS 1973 Directory Issue. 3M is listed with at least
ACQUIRE and BAZAAR, but not SLEUTH.
"Great Games" has an ad for COACHES ALL STAR FOOTBALL,
DERBY DOWNS, ALL PRO GOLF, THE SCRAMBLER - which seems to
be more like an abstract strategic game.
Called Claude. Not in.
Called George Bredehorn. Changed out date from tomorrow night to Saturday night. Asked if I had brough him a copy of MYWORD! Yes.
Ordered another set of 6'x0"x6'0"x18" shelving from Sears. There is a strike so it may take a few weeks.
Earl over in the evening for supper. He was interested in the two booklets on CHINESE CHESS - INTRODUCTION TO CHINESE CHESS & CHINESE CHESS, A MANUAL OF. Told him I'd get repros [reproductions] of them for him.
