16 MONDAY - JULY 1973
197TH DAY - 168 DAYS TO COME

Call from Felicia. She rcd. a contract for HONORABLE RELATIONS
and a letter from Burt Huber that it would be ready for
"testing" by 6/1/74. He'll see that we get the advance as soon
as he receives the signed contract. Since Felicia was in a hurry
to get the money I said I'd drop in today, instead of Wednesday.
She had another package from Vittet.

Call from Phil Orbanes. He spoke to Carl and they agreed that
the next batch of p & p games would be contracted for
directly with me. After this the deals will be with "Gamut
of Games." I said that I had a contract with "Hoi Polloi"
which should be honored, but Phil pointed out that they have
the right to take games from anyone and they want to
take them from "Gamut of Games." I agreed. The deal will
be that "Gamut" will take about 10% agent's fee from
my half. Phil will get less since he is getting a salary from
"Gamut."
In a month or so Phil expects that there will be a great
deal of "premium" work, so much so that he won't be able
to do it all himself and I will be involved in a similar
manner to the above arrangement with "Gamut" as my agent.
He asked if TABLUT had been done commercially. Told him
about VIKING KRIG-LEK. Looked for my copy but found it
couldn't find it at once.
After the call discovered that I never got a copy of
VIKING KRIG-LEK since it never went into production.
Looked at my contract with "Hoi Polloi." They have first
refusal right on all my p & p games, but I am free after
they refuse a game.

Called Mike Alber and spoke to him about getting a copy
of BILLIONAIRE, BOGGLE, GRAPPLE, and FLUSTER. Since they
don't have good boxes for shipping, he'll have a package
wrapped up and I'll pick it up when I am in the neighborhood.

To Felicia and signed the HONORABLE RELATIONS contact.
Don Green has left Ed-U-Cards for Creative Playthings. My
game of TRAVELINE was rejected.
INVASION and THE BRAIN GAME still haven't reached her. She
wrote once but will write again If she doesn't get them by
the middle of the week.
The package from VITTET was another board for his
L'ANNEAU ENCHANTE DE TOM TIT - with an English title
MAGIC WAR TRAILS - and the PCs. No rules or covering letter.
Maybe they'll come later.
She had a puzzle, named VEX, by Alan M. Newman. There are
8 cubes with magnets in each face. The object is to assemble
it so that adjoining faces attract each other. In the model the
magnets were too weak to give the proper attraction
