Call from Felicia. She heard from Stan Harfenist. He is leaving for Minneapolis tonight and will be around there for two days. He'd like to play 3D BOXES with George DeLaney and Felicia asked me to send the package to Minneapolis (she'd reimburse me). Told her that it would never reach in time. Suggested that I write the rules in a hurry and then bring it downtown so that Stan could take it with him. She said she'd check with him and call back.
Started gain changing the original illustrations to suit the new way of playing. Then did a little on the rules.
Call from Felicia. She couldn't get thru to Stand but spoke to Karen. They agreed that there was no hurry. I'll do the rules and we'll bring it to Stan in a few weeks.

Call from Fay Baker. She asked if TREASURE HUNT could be played by 1. No - but I could come up with one that could.
She asked how much I charge for consultation. $20 an hour - plus expenses. (But I'd drive to Poughkeepsie on my own time.)

Call from Phil Orbanes. He said that Djoli had liked COLLECTORS CHOICE but the earliest possible sue would be for next year's $6 games - if they go well this year.
It was Djoli's idea to put out a BACKGAMMON set and Phil thinks it will probably put things back in the black.
Discussed the new batch of p&p games for Hoi Polloi. Because of the continuing success of FACTS IN FIVE, Phil is working on a slight variation of CATEGORIES, which of course is in the public domain.
I told him about: POWER NETWORK, LAPS, 11 RACES, CHOOSE A LETTER, and LANDGRAB. Also mentioned SPACE STATIONS which he definitely thinks should be in. He mentioned NO WAY but I said that Carl had said no games that were only Solitaire. He also wants to use some of the original six - XANDO, etc. He had been thinking about a race game that in which once a space was used it was no longer available, but he'll hold up on it until he sees LAPS.
Carl wants any games from him to be handled thru "Gamut of Games." If Carl insists on mine being handled that way I will get my royalties from "Gamut of Games." However it will be better for Phil if all of the next batch are contracted between me and Hoi Polloi.
According to our contract (I don't remember a thing about it) Phil said we were each to get 12 each of a WORDPLAY, VEGAS 13, CHINESECHEK, NINETACTOE, & DAM-IT! He will call Carl and ask him to send my copies to me.
Phil figures on getting enough royalties from the first five to put a down payment on a house.

Finished drawing up the diagram for POWER NETWORK. Then drew up 11 RACES. Then drew up the spaces for LANDGRAB and LAPS, but not the num-
