At Science Museum in Columbus saw a game puzzle that seems to be a direct steal from one of Claude's published PUZZLEs, (Didn't take time to look up the name.) This one is by Are-Jay Co.- Cleveland (I believe), Ohio. It is called OUT OF LINE. There is an 8x8 field divided into 5 areas. Object to place 8 pegs-at least one in each area-so that no two are in a line.

At a book store bought a Random House copy of AGOG for $1.98. The owner had a Castle copy for $2.49, which he had me sign-to him-when BB told him who I was.

Rcd. [received] an air letter from Haar Hoolim. Mentioned that he was sending me the rules of all the Or Da games and would like them returned if possible. Mentions that STOPLO, STOP'M and BARRICADE are probably the same game with slight changes. He is not satisfied with what they have done with UP.

Rcd. [received] a package from Schaper with MONEY CARD and OPTILE.

(I believe) tiles with different letters on the two sides. These are set up in a random 5x5 layout. Players trace out as many words as they can using a king's move and starting anywhere. I believe that a letter can be doubled if desired. OVERLORD and KASSERINE PASS (Conflict Games - not to be confused with CONFLICT magazine) at $8.98 each. THE POLLUTION GAME, an educational simulation by Houghton-Mifflin - for classroom use.

At a seminar there was a discussion by a member of "Rome Arnold & Company" on a survey of game dealers. Some notes:-
AMERICAN HERITAGE of June '72 had an article on old games. Consumer information can't be used to design the product in the case of games.
87 dealers were interview by m phone. Around the country and of different types of stores.
Shelly Berman. MONOPOLY, the thrill of wiping out a friend. Dr. Joyce Brothers. If you win it is a game of skill. If you lose its a game of luck.
Aldous Huxley. A game is an island of order in a disorganized universe.
