Pentecost - 161st Day - 204 Days to Come
BB and I played SPECTRUM and then the game for HONORABLE RELATIONS. It played well.
Made a presentation model of HONORABLE RELATIONS. Finished the board and the pieces.
Claude called. We discussed my seminar at the
INTERNATIONAL GAME SHOW. He suggested starting by saying
that we kno don't know what will sell but we do know that
a game that has long rules, is played with dice, and is
runs for many hours will never sell. I should also mention:
Cultivating new audiences - such as Simulations Inc. is doing.
Push a category til it catches on - like A.H.
Need for a beach game - to succeed TWISTER.
Push game playing in general.
Compare price of a movie with that of a game.
Call from Gary Sherbell. He has a new game called
OPTION CHESS that he'd like me to look at. It is regular
CHESS with an added deck of cards. The cards allow the
pieces to move and also there are "freeze" cards that
affect all of that pc. [piece] of either side and "release" cards.
Each player has six cards in his hand.
Told him that it sounded interesting and to call me after
July 4th.
