ASCENSION DAY-151ST DAY-214 DAYS TO COME

Bob Champer over with the PATTON historical material. Actually he had David Isby do it and will pay him out of his first royalty payment. Less than 4 pages - rather than 8. I edited them and added a few points.
Bob went over my rules and liked them.
Call from Bob Gellman confirming today's meeting.

Letter from Norton Cross - about TRANSFORMATION, etc.

Call from Felicia. She wanted to know if Kathy Brooks or Bob Johnson had taken any of my games with them. No. Allan Turoff is mad that it isn't in this year's line and wants to take back his MAKE-A-PUZZLE game. The contract calls for 60 days notice but she thinks that Bob Johnson will send it back sooner. They are not that crazy about it.

Downtown. On way to see Felicia met Herb Roth. He asked if I could do a "Watergate" GAME. He'd like to sell one. Told him there are two, and he knows it, but he thinks he can sell another. Was thinking of using cardboard pcs. [pieces] representing the different characters and piecing them together to get the president. Mentioned this what Herb had told me to Felicia and she said "forget it."
The [illegible strikeout] "game" that Felicia got from Odette Willis for me was not a "game" but a box with all the material that Odette had originally shown to Felicia with, among other things, additional material on LE JEU DU 420. I'll take it with me next time I'm down at her office, also Al Richter's QUADROME and TRY-ANGLES which 3M returned. They've been everywhere.
Felicia wants to get more money from Hallmark but doesn't have all the dates. She [illegible strikeout] asked me to check if I had them, including whether we got extension money from RED LETTER. Also get the date on Claude's DUEL
I mentioned that Dennis would have to change the name of his game PRIME TIME, because of Skor-Mor's PRIME TIME. She didn't look at their booth. I promised to bring a copy of their ad sheet.
I'll look at Dennis' PRIME TIME next time I'm there.
Dorothy Shapiro said that the 3M line fell on its face. Actually the only thing that is doing well is BACKGAMMON. She hopes that things will pick up for Father's Day.

To R.G.I. Bob Gellman not there and I started going over the PATTON rules and historical material with Stan. Bob Gellman came in just before I left. He didn't like the idea of giving credits to me, Bob Champer, and Dave Isby. Too messy.

At Chambers St. bought April '73 SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN.

To Arthur's and Wald's. Played HIT THE JACKPOT, using 1 token each. They liked it so much [illegible strikeout] that we played a second game using 2 tokens each. They liked it even better.
We played (Wald and I) Wald's two-handed BRIDGE. Bidding con-
