28 MONDAY - MAY 1973
MEMORIAL DAY - 148TH DAY - 217 DAYS TO COME
Started working on the PATTON rules.
Played 3-hand HIT THE JACKPOT with BB and Dana. There seemed to be less "following the leader" than last Saturday, but still is a little repetitious. Cut chips to 70 - 1 point, 24 - 5 point, and 16 - 10 point. One time a 5-point had to be placed on the board for a short time, but no serious shortages developed. Didn't use any additional rules that I thought of Saturday.
TIME Magazine in an article mentioned a POKER variation called HOLD 'EM. Each player is dealt two cards face down. Five cards are faced and are common to all players. Betting is similar to "Stud." Best 5 card hand using 2 hole cards and 3 from table wins.
Felicia called. Asked when I'd be in town. Told her Thursday.
She spoke to Bob Johnson. Among other things - he is not
that much interested in L'ANNEAU ENCHANTE DE TOM TIT. He is
very interested in HONORABLE RELATIONS. She is going to call
Stan Harfenist to check on 3D BOXES.
Called Dorothy Shapiro. Told her about NETRESULTS. She'll contact
G & R. Also mentioned GREATSHAPES but she's not interested in it.
Called Jack Davis. On 6/14 3M is having a "Breakfast-a-la-cart"
to show their line of consumer products to women's
page editors from around the country. He'd like me to be at
the game cart. Yes, if all my games and IMAGE are there.
They will be. I have to be there at 7:00 A.M.
[A red arrow/bracket is drawn around the bottom paragraph and a note states that 'This happened 5/29']
