144TH DAY-221 DAYS TO COME

To Stationary Show.

  • Springbok. Checked THE RIGHT CONNECTIONS solutions and I am

sure that the numbers should run the way I originally
showed them. One of the salesman saw my sketch with
the solution and mentioned that it would be helpful if the
salesman were given sheets with the solutions to show to
customers that it can be done.

  • Gameophiles. Took catalog. Took down the rules of FLIP AND FLOP

(fairly complete). From 2 to 4 play. Each player has four tiles
[drawing of 8x8 game board] started as shown. The numbers
on the other side are from 5 to
8 and are positioned so that the
numbers at an edge all add
up to 9. Players in turn
move one space forward on to
the side. (I don't think back-
ward moves are allowed.) A pc.
is flipped over as it is moved.
The dots (which must be at the opposite edge on the other
side) must always point away
from the players starting po-
sition. When, at the start of
a player's turn, his an edge of
his pc. is next to an edge of
an opponents pc. with a lower
number he can flip and flop onto
it, removing it from the game. If in position for another cap-
ture he can continue. Win by getting two pcs. across to opponent's
starting position. A pc. that has moved across can be moved
and can be captured.
FRUSTRABLES, CORNERED-BUT-UNDAUNTED, CHINESE CHESS, and
EMOTE are fairly well explained in the catalog. PENTAGON is
also shown.
SYNTACTICS. Have picture and read the rules but didn't
get the details very straight.

  • Itemation. The fellow who said I could pick up games today now

says that they only have empty boxes. Another fellow took
my card and said he'd send me copies of SET POINT and
STAMP COLLECTORS GAME. SUPERGROUP we agreed would not be
for my readers.

  • American Greetings. Asked for R. Stephan Harman. He rcd. the

copy of S&T I sent him. He packed me a box with what we
thought were all 8 games. Later discovered that there were
nine games, aside from CHESS 'N' CHECKERS. They are:-
NIX- I had this before and he gave me a complete copy and also
another empty except for a few cubes. DEADLOCK- gave me a
complete copy. LINK-UP- I had this before and he [illegible strikeout] gave me
a complete copy. CONTROLLING INTEREST- gave me a complete copy.
POUNCE- I had this before and he didn't give me a copy.
