FAIR SHAKE - didn't have this before and he didn't give
me a copy. BROKEN ENGLISH - he gave me a copy with most
of the insides missing, but the rules are there. UPON-MY-WORD
- I had this before and he gave me a complete copy. De-TOUR -
he gave me a complete copy.
- Waddingtons. Gave Les Martindale the rules of TAKE-A-WORD and he
gave me a receipt. It will not be considered before 1975 for
publication before 1975. He gave me a copy of THE GAME OF NATIONS.
It is only for my collection. It will not be sold in the U.S. this year
and there may be revisions before it is sold here. Earl will send
me copies of the two versions of KGB and the revised RATRACE.
- Saw Alice McElhone again. Karin Kole told her that she could
display TRIPPPLES in her booth. Alice said that orders are
coming in very nicely, including the possibility of publication
in Europe.
- 3M. Stopped by to say goodbye to Kathy Brooks.
- Pacific Games. Stopped by. Jerry Kayle was in casual conversation
and ignored me. Nothing new, and left.
- Met Tom Atwater again. Among other things he asked if Felicia
had been dealing with Four Generations. No, as far as I know. He
thinks they are an up and coming company. I mentioned Phil Shop-
taugh
and Tom knows him, or of him.
I asked if he had seen Norton Cross and whether there is
any possibility of getting TRANSFORMATION back. Cross said that
they are reorganizing their reps and expect the games to start
moving this year. Tom doesn't think there is any chance of getting it
back. Incidentally, TRANSFORMATION wasn't even on display.
- Met Tom Beck. He met Felicia and I told him that she was my agent
when he is interested in games from me, he can either contact her
or me.
Tom Beck (or it may possibly have been Alice McElhone) told
me that Bill Tyler of Brentano's is working on setting up a meeting
of a number of small game manufacturers so that they can arrive
at some way to help each other.
- Cadeau (M.B.). Said hello to Marshall Lucas. The only new things of
moderate interest to me were:- THE GRABBER - One magnet is fixed.
Another is mounted so that it can rotate. Object is to rotate it
[drawing] just hard enough that the two grab. THE BURGERMEISTER -
A figure with a hat on is pivoted at the bottom. The
hat has a loop on the top. Below this is a magnet. Another
magnet is mounted on the end of a staff with a hook on it. As
