24 SATURDAY - MARCH 1973
83RD DAY - 282 DAYS TO COME

Bob Champer here in the afternoon working on PATTON. Played
my "Cicily" version and then his "Bulge" version. There was a
time limit and reinforcements in his version and I worked out a
method of avoiding a "time record." He will work out a
board for "France" version by next week. He suggested that I
look at S.P.I's BREAKOUT & PURSUIT which covers the same battle.
We decided that we would make "Cicily" the big game since the
board I did is rather cramped.

Played PATTON with Phil Laurence. Played "Cicily" first and then he
asked to play "Bulge."

Went to the bazaar near Edith's. Bought small clasp envelopes
and 2 dozen lined pads.

Rcd. a special delivery air mail package from Cadaco with
MASTER MIND and a taped on note describing the differences
that their edition would have. This was the English edition.

it can be sold on the basis of the author's name. Felicia tried
to tell him the facts of life - mentioning me and others - but
he'll try elsewhere.

Felicia's dentist is also Jed Gaines'. He keeps telling her that to
contact Jed. I told that Jed was no longer with "Gamut of Games."
Also that they are not looking for outside games now. I'll definitely
let her know when they are. Told her that I was doing consult-
ing work for "Gamut" for both a fee and royalties. That possibly
they may do one of my games in the future. Also that I was
going there for lunch today.

To "Gamut of Games." Went over the rules of REALM with Djoli -
particularly the "Modern" version.
Djoli had a copy of GAMES & PUZZLES #12. Later took it to Simu-
lastions and reproduced the cover - with a picture of a game
called THE SIGMA FILE, and article on DAFT DRAUGHTS, reviews of
ROTASCRIPT, CRACK, BLAST-OFF, MASTER MIND and two books -
THE WATNEY BOOK OF PUB GAMES and by
BOARD AND TABLE GAMES FROM MANY CIVILIZATIONS (filed in G&P folder.)
At Simulations took about 10 sheets of hex graph papers
layouts - different types.

To 200 5th Ave. To room 1005, the rep. for Alabe. Asked about
their games and was given sheets for MATOCA (which is
GO-MOKU without a board), REWORD, WORDSHAKER, and BIG DEALER.
