4 Sunday - March 1973
Ninth Sunday After Epiphany - 63rd Day - 302 Days to Come
Reading on PATTON to & from Dale's on subway. Phil had
a package of S&Ts for me. Also a copy of TOYS [word inserted: March] that
was sent to the office - Phil Orbanes used to get them when
he worked there. Nothing in it that I haven't seen.
Called the Richters. Date for 3/17. Told Al that TRY-ANGLES
and QUADRUME are being sent to 3M.
Al rcd. [received] the info on DON'T BLOW A FUSE from Earl. He thinks
he can set it up for a printed circuit.
Called Claude. He has made a new board for LOA. On From the four
corners he has three pictures on each diagonal. To give them
a meaning, a player can't win unless at least 1 pc. [piece] is on a picture when
he has a winning position. He'll call it RENDEZVOUS. He was
thinking of using the end game I worked out for AGOG either
on the rules or on the box. But we both agreed that a shorter
"problem" would be more effective.
Rcd. a telephone call from Mark Singer. He is writing a piece
on adult games for WORLD Magazine. He heard about me
thru Mel Bernstien (SARACEN) and Tom Atwater, and possibly
others. Made date for him to come here on 3/11 at 2.
Told him about AGOG and A TOY IS BORN.
