To Felicia's. She hadn't been able to reach Bill Dohrmann yet. Arranged to come back at 2 when David E. Kribs would be there.
To A.H. showroom. Spoke shortly to Tom Shaw and at more length to Don Greenwood. He thanked me again for the Xerox picture & I thanked him for running it. He'll send me copies of RICHTOFEN'S WAR, FOOTBALL STRATEGY, and BASEBALL STRATEGY, even tho I told him I probably won't review any of them.
I told him that I liked PANZERFAUST better when he was in charge. He still has a financial interest in it and is concerned over the new management always being late in getting issues out.

To Startler Hilton. Looked at a number of rooms and booths where they had action games, children's game, standards, etc. Following is what I saw new:-
-Jim's LectraMatic Games. Took rules for LECTRAMETIC TORPEDO ATTACK. Took info on LECTRAMATIC OPTION FOOTBALL, LECTRAMATIC BASEBALL, LECTRAMATIC FOOTBALL, and BAD PENNY GAME.
-Mag-Nif. Nothing new. Bill Knox hot there. (In Europe I later heard from Phil.) [written above line] Took Folder.
-Stancraft. Met Mary Hilt. The game program is a disaster. DOZO is the only one that sold at all. She gave me a copy of MAG-NA-BOX, a gimmick rather than a game. I asked and she told me that their SHANGHAI is just about the same as ZIONCHECK.
-Synestructics, Inc. Spoke to Peter Pearce, the president and inventor. Looked at NET RESULTS, SNOW CRYSTALS, and GREAT SHAPES. Interesting, especially the 1st and 3rd. He'll send me review copies. He asked for a copy of S&T and I promised to send one. Took info. Came back later to give him info on Roger Verhulst.
-Fireside Games. Solved two puzzles and was given edition #4. The idea for each edition is the same; only the makeup of the pcs. used varies. Took info & a glossy. Later told them about Roger Verhulst.
-Border House. Took copy of BEAT THE BORDER. Their other game, CUSTOM COUNT, is not ready yet. They will send it to me and also glossies. Told them about Roger Verhulst.
-PDMS. Met David Kribs, the inventor of BEAT THE MARKET. Played a little of the game and it was a fairly interesting stock market game. In the afternoon I spoke to the manufacturer, Cliff Denison. He'll send me a review copy of BEAT THE MARKET and the rules for a 3-D game AIRPORT. He is aware of D.D.I.'s AIRPORT and is thinking of changing to HIJACKED. Took info on these games, FOX & GEESE! (with a differently shaped board), and some action items. Told them about Roger Verhulst.
-Schulz Games. EXPIRATION is a kind of rural MONOPOLY with ecological overtones. Didn't look at THE HOMESTEAD GAME. He'll, at my suggestion, only send me the rules first and I'll see if [illegible word crossed out] they will fit my column. Another game is DICE BOARD CHECKERS. Wrote the rules on the folder I took. There is some skill in this but the presentation is very childish. Told him about Roger Verhulst
