20 TUESDAY * FEBRUARY 1973
51ST DAY * 314 DAYS TO COME

Rcd. a letter from Earl Doherty. Mentioned 4000 A.D.,
2 "top secret" games of GAMES of his that may be at the
International Toy Show, CAMPAIGN, FEUDAL, CHESSWORD, and S & T.
Rcd. another promotion from INTERNATIONAL GAME SHOW. Still has
me down for "more than 18 successfully marketed games."

Call from Phil Orbanes. He'll come here 3/8 at about 10 A.M. and
we'll spend the day testing REALM, INFINITY, and CARTEL
if we have time. He told me of some considerable changes in
INFINITY. He said he'd see that I get paid for testing INFINITY
and CARTEL since, unlike REALM, I am not being paid a royalty on
them. I said that, unless it runs into a lot of time, it really
'wasn't necessary.
Didi, incidentally, won't be in until the 15th of March.
Told Phil about Gini Scott's suit against Bill Knox. Phil will try to
contact Scott this week. If he does he'll call me. I'll see if GROOVE
is in their display and then, after talking to Gini, I'll call Phil.
Phil is very curious about X, and mentioned that they would be
my meal ticket this year. I told him that 3M was good and that
AGOG was much better than I ever expected.
Phil said that the p. and p. games (CHINESE CHECK, COUNTERPOINT,
etc.) should be good for a couple of thousand dollars. Also I'll
get something for REALM. // When Phil comes on 3/8 he wants to look at
WHAT'S IT WORTH TO YOU?.
In preparing the game to bring tomorrow, I couldn't find a
record of the board for OVER 'N OVER, so
I put it in here.

[Diagram of a square board with 25 circles in it arranged in a 5 x 5 formation. 12 circles are green, 12 are orange, and the one at the center is white (as shown)
OGOOG
GOGGO
OGWOG
GOOGO
OGGOG
Every circle is connected to each of its neighboring circles both orthogonally and diagonally except for the ones that are adjacent to the corners which are only connected to the corners and not to the one diagonally across.]

Also discovered that I finally
decided that 1-2-3-4-5 is what to
use at the start. Also if a player can't move,
he loses.

Decided to bring INVASION. Looked over the
rules. Also found that I had a record of
the board.
The others I'm bringing are THE BRAIN GAME,
PUSHOVER, [Illegible crossed out], PAIR OFF, & HABITAT.

Warren Buell called. He came in too late to come over tonight and probably
won't be able to make it tomorrow. Talked about games - what I am
doing and mentioned seeing bookshelf games in Mays (probably DDI).
He let his subscription to S & T lapse about 6 months ago since he is
not interested in war gaming. I told him I'd send him my columns
periodically. Also mentioned TRIPPPLES and told him I'd send the info.
He'll call again tomorrow whether he can make it or not. Thanked Warren
for the clippings he sent me.
To Boston Post Road and got 12 repros of the PUSHOVER setup sheet.
Also 1 repro of the HABITAT solution which I drew up today.
Called fellow Morin about the AGOG permissions (see 2/7). Hasn't got to
it yet. He'll call me this week.
