who wrote to Simulations. He likes my S & T column,
AGOG, ACQUIRE, and MONAD. His wife likes VENTURE.

Phil Orbanes called while I was out and I called back.
The buyer from Gimbel's in Pittsburg said that he sold the
American Greeting games (DEADLOCK, UPON-MY-WORD, NIX, etc.)
during X'Mas and they did fairly well. However he said
that they really don't know how to merchandize adult games.
He said that among the 3M games FACTS IN FIVE is the
best seller. ACQUIRE does well but is dropping slowly. IMAGE
did well, but new ones usually do. He thinks that 3M is losing
touch with the current trends.
Carl Eisenberg tells him that the 5 games (WORDS FOR THE WISE,
CHINESE CHECK, etc.) will sell for $2 and a set of all 5 for $7.
They are behind schedule but will definitely be coming out.
A company, "National Paragon" has taken over Reiss and Hoi
Polloi. Phil doesn't know what they do, but knows that they
are highly profitable. They will put a lot of money into the
companies and Hoi Polloi will be needing new products.
Phil is seeing Carl tonight about AQUARIUS 2000
