<u>Phil Orbanes</u> called while I was out and I called back.  <br>
The buyer from Gimbel's in Pittsburg said that he sold the  <br>
American Greeting games (<u>DEADLOCK</u>, <u>UPON-MY-WORD</u>, <u>NIX</u>, etc.)  <br>
during X'Mas and they did fairly well. However he said  <br>
that they really don't know how to merchandize adult games.  <br>
He said that among the 3M games <u>FACTS IN FIVE</u> is the  <br>
best seller. <u>ACQUIRE</u> does well but is dropping slowly. <u>IMAGE</u>  <br>
did well, but new ones usually do. He thinks that 3M is losing  <br>
touch with the current trends.  <br>
<u>Carl Eisenberg</u> tells him that the 5 games (<u>WORDS FOR THE WISE</u>,  <br>
<u>CHINESE CHECK</u>, etc.) will sell for $2 and a set of all 5 for $7.  <br>
They are behind schedule but will definitely be coming out.  <br>
A company, "National Paragon" has taken over Reiss and Hoi  <br>
Polloi. Phil doesn't know what they do, but knows that they  <br>
are highly profitable. They will put a lot of money into the  <br>
companies and Hoi Polloi will be needing new products.  <br>
Phil is seeing Carl tonight about <u>AQUARIUS 2000</u> and will  <br>
talk to him about their needs.  <br>
<u>Herb Hochstetter</u> called Phil and said either that he has, or  <br>
will, set up a meeting with Post. Herb will be calling me.  <br>
I looked at the 1972 diary and saw that the three games they  <br>
liked of mine were <u>THE-ADD-A-LETTER-GAME</u>, <u>SUPER-TAC-TOE</u>,  <br>
and <u>THE GO-ROUND GAME</u>. I have the rules written for all 3, but  <br>
only the first has a tyoewritten copy. The second is  <br>
supposed to but I can't locate it.  <br>
Phil says that Joel (or rather Djoli) is going to be a pain.  <br>
He was interested, however, in my collecting game  <br>
(<u>WHAT'S IT WORTH TO YOU?</u>).  <br>
 
Called <u>Fred Feucht</u> to see if he had the typewritten rules for  <br>
<u>SUPER-TAC-TOE</u>. Supposed to call back but he didn't.
 
In my talk with <u>Phil Orbanes</u> he said that he'd like me to  <br>
take a look at his rules for <u>INFINITY</u> with a view to making  <br>
