7 WEDNESDAY - FEBRUARY 1973
38TH DAY - 327 DAYS TO COME
Letter from Graeme Levin. Will see that I get G & P #9 & #10.
Will get to TREK as soon as possible. Will look into the
situation with AGOG.
Started thinking about the "Permissions" on the Random House
statement and called Richard B. Morin (see 2/3) to
ask him about it . It was for permission to use parts of the
book. I asked him if it would be too much trouble to look up
which publication(s) were given the permission. He will
have soeone look it up and have them call me, within a week.
Mel Bernstein here with his wife, Betty, to show us his
game SARACEN. The board was attractive and the basic spaces
were diamond shaped. The object was for th two hand game
was between the Saracens and either the English, French, or
Austrians. The object is to occupy two special spaces out of
3 on the Saracen side or two spaces on the side representing
the starting space of the Crusaders. Moves are determined by
the turn of cards, and drawing a card of own color gives another
draw. Certain cards allow cause every piece on a players
side to move. (There are a lot of complications but no really
new play principles. I am not attempting to put down any of
the details.)
I suggested A.H. but Mel tried them and they are not using
any new sources.
