is trying to set up a meeting with <u>Marshall Lucas</u>, but without
too much success. I told him about my connections with Felicia,  <br>
too much success. I told him about my connections with Felicia,
who also was going to see <u>Marshall Lucas</u> and how I have to keep
things separate.
<br>Told him that I might have other possibilities for <u>TAKE-A-WORD</u>.
I'll let him know if I do decide to show it elsewhere.
He'll let me know in advance of any meeting with Marshall
Lucas so that I can decide whether to have him show it or not.

To Brentano's. Spoke to <u>Dorothy Shapiro</u> and gave her copies of
''<u>S & T</u>'' #32, 33, 34, & 35.  <br>
3M told her that they did well in '72. The games did well
in Brentano's, except for <u>MONAD</u>, of which they have piles. There
is only 1 <u>SLEUTH</u> left but they can't reorder until after inventory.
She said that jig-saws are doing very well. Told her of the ones in
food packages. The salesman never called on her.  <br>
She said that <u>TRIPPPLES</u> was the nearest thing to a craze this
X'Mas [Christmas]. They will be coming out with a cheaper edition with a
plastic tray. Dorothy doesn't think the present edition looks worth
its price.<br>
She asked me to let her know if I find any other possible crazes.
I told her about <u>HOLIDAY</u>. She was very interested in it,
particularly that it can be played by from 2 to 8 players. Possibly I'll
go to the store to demonstrate it.  <br>
She wants Bob Gellman to get in touch with her, because she
wants more <u>MOVIE MOGULS</u>. <br>
Saw that they had copies of ''<u>AGOG</u>'' in the game book section
for $2.98.

To Pierce Promotion and got an <u>IMAGE</u> glossy from <u>Jack Davis</u>.

Met <u>Claude</u> and went to the thrift shops. Claude bought a copy
of <u>Jules Cooper</u>'s <u>THE STOCK MARKET GAME</u>. I bought, for 35¢,
<u>THE GAME OF LOVE</u>.  <br>
Claude had the March and Dec. '72 [December 1972] ''<u>SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN</u>''s for me -
50¢ each. Returned the copy of ''<u>TOY REVIEW</u>'' to him. The Dec. '72
mag. [December 1972 magazine] mentions Jerry D'Arcey and <u>THE IMPUZZABLES</u>.  <br>
Claude asked me what kind of arrangement I would want if he made
use of the moving mechanism I used in <u>TAKE FIVE</u>. I told
him that I had gotten a release from Renwal on it and I will
probably try to do something with it myself.  <br>
Claude rcd. [received] a letter from HASBRO saying that they had bought all
rights to his Auction <u>GAME</u>. He rcd. [received] a letter from Frank
Armbruster that his royalties on <u>GENIUS BLOCKS</u> were about $22
(the amount was Claude's not Frank's).

Rcd. [received] the letter from Hasbro on <u>HAVING A WONDERFUL TIME</u>. <u>Arthur</u>
called to say that he had rcd. [received] his. <br>
Rcd. [received] the $375 check for <u>FOCUS</u> from Hallmark.  (cont. on 1/27)
