Rcd. [received] a duplicate copy of MOVES #6.
Rcd. NOST-ALGIA #153. Phil Cohen has some SPROUTS strategy. Bill Rawlings explains GIVEAWAY CHESS. Alister Macintyre has an ad for OPERATION CONTACT and his games:- RAUMKRIEG, ASSASSIN!, GUERRILLA!, and NUCLEAR DESTRUCTION.
This is not the NUCLEAR DESTRUCTION I rcd. from Richard Loomis (see 8/26/72). Macintyre says there are approximately 40 variants. Rules cost 10¢.
Rcd. a letter from Frank Armbruster. Mentions my collection at Santa Clara, the CHESS autotutor, POTENTIAL, TANGRAMS, ARVESTA (a MANCALA variation), 30 CUBES, G&P.
Rcd. a letter from Bob Lanzon, in answer to my card/letter. (no answer rq'd. [required])
Letter from Earl Perel. Nudged me on ZODIAC ZOO & PHILANTHROPY. He is collaborating on a book on CHINESE CHESS.

Zeke Rose called - for Roger Verhulst's address. Gave it to him.

Called G.A.F. Bill Eckhart not in today. Asked to have him call me.

Signed the FOCUS contract and sent it back to Bob Johnson, with a note mentioning the rules in AGOG.

Called Felicia (twice) to tell her that Bob Gellman called me yesterday. Told her that I sent the FOCUS contract back without mentioning her signature (see 1/22).
I mentioned that I have number of strategy games (PUSH OVER, DISPERSAL, SPACE STIX, etc.) and she thinks she should show them around at Toy Fair before tying them up with Hallmark.
I also mentioned HABITAT as being just right for 3M. Since they said they were interested in puzzles she contacted them about one, but they didn't even want to see it.
Told her what Kathy Brooks said about PROFIT (see 1/17).
Felicia told me that MUHLE (she called it "International Muhle") was real big in Washington. (Later I looked up an article on "The first International Muhle Festival" in THE GAMESLETTER #48.
She told me that the M.B. takeover of Loew went thru. Lowe layed off all his sales people without any severance pay.
Felicia mentioned in connection with Bob Gellman that she is still leary of him. She wonders what she should go about his "letter of intent" to do GOLD (HIGH FINANCE). In a previous conversation she said I should get an advance before working on a game for him.

INTELLECTUAL DIGEST (Feb. '73) had the following classified ad.
THE MAP GAME - fun way to master World Geography. 2 to 5 players $2.95 (ppd.). [address]

Call from Joel Gaines. He saw Pierre Berloquin in Paris once, and Pierre sent his regards and promised to write. Joel is here only for a week and will return until March. He will go to the Paris Toy Show
