<u>Dale</u> quit her job at <u>S&T</u>. Couldn't get along with Beth.
Made a new calculation wheel for <u>THE BRAIN GAME</u>, starting at
$80,000 and losing $ 2,000 for each divergence. Made a
new board [illegible word crossed out] with the [illegible word crossed out] 9 spaces (2 for the
special cards) in a radial pattern.
Played with the <u>Laurences</u>. Good but I'd still like to get more
trading into it. They also felt the board was very con-
fining - particularly BB.

have taken me some time to find the parts. I'll bring it
with me next time we get together.
<u>Stan Chess</u> said that he has been quite successful in getting
game companies to advertise in his upcoming magazine <u>GAME</u>. He has been neglecting the editorial end of the
magazine and now will have to work hard to get it
ready. (Gail, who also came here, is working with him.)
Looking thru [through] my "52 Variety Game Chest" he saw
a word game <u>ALPHABETICS</u>, also <u>CHEK-A-WORD</u>, which he
said is similar to a new version of <s>FORE</s> <u>FOUR-PLAY</u>
by George which will be the centerfold game for <u>GAME</u>. I
asked him whether George will be supplying all the games,
No, and he wants to get together with me in a few weeks
to talk about it. | |||
We also discussed game review columns and he would like
to try and [illegible word crossed out] syndicate a column by me. (At present
his bicycle column is in only 3 papers and he is losing money
on it.) I mentioned <u>Roger Verhulst</u>'s and <u>Richard Moon</u>'s
columns. | |||
Stan thinks that <u>NEWSDAY</u> will be running a puzzle column
by George regularly - at ¢75 a column. George said that
they asked for one column, with no indication of
wanting more. |
