<u>GAME</u> using the basic idea.
Rcd. [received] an X'Mas [Christmas] card from <u>Mary Hilt</u> at Stancraft.
Bought two sets of 9 drawers each. ($1.88 each.) Set them on
my desk to hold small equipment such as paper clips,
rubber bands, etc.
Phil brought me a number of newspaper clippings on games.
The only one I kept was a <u>''TIMES''</u> clipping on <u>ODYSSEY</u>.
With the <u>Horns</u> played <u>THE BRAIN GAME</u>. There was not as
much trading as I would have liked and Barbara had a bad
series of throws, 5s & 6s on the red [illegible word crossed out] die. Was thinking
of some possible [illegible word crossed out] improvements.
Consider a throw of "6" on the red die as wild. Player can
choose any number from "1" to "5".
A player who lands in the same space as an opponent can
trade and also buy - if any cards are available to buy.
A player does not have to buy if he doesn't care to.
Player can choose to move either white die, but not the total.
If both dice would land on spaces with no cards left the player
moves the higher and then continues to the first space with
cards remaining. (Probably won't use this.)
Change the board, eliminating the end spaces. Introduce
another space for "black" cards so that they are placed
in two piles of 9. Also call for specific location of the
card sets.
Raise the profit for a perfect company to $80,000 and take
$2,000 off for each deviation. (This should give more room
for bargaining and might make it occasionally desireable [desirable] to
buy 5 cards at $5,000 each.)
The Horns saw an ad on TV for <u>KLOMP-IT</u>.
