342ND DAY - 24 DAYS TO COME

[written in blue ink in margin arranged vertically: 12/3; 11/19; 11/18]

BB walked to Boston Post Road for repros [reproductions] of FOREIGN INTRIGUE and FREE FORM rules.

I put the equipment from THE BRAIN GAME into a small box and covered it with black contact.

Called Bill Eckhart to tell suggest my coming there Friday after- noon with the new version of JUNGLE RACE. I'm to call him when my 10 A.M. meeting is ended and set a time.

VIEWLINE has been undergoing some testing with children and he has some things to talk about it tomorrow.

To Felicia's look at some games she had there from old and new clients:-

EPIS I - a puzzle by Dennis Ladouceur. An upstanding shaft has a series of projections many of which had further projec- tions. The object was to fit a ring around the projections, working it from projection to projection until it was [illegible word crossed out] on the shaft. (We both found it too easy.)

LONGEVITY. (Just glanced at this.) Players draw cards to build up a history of heredity and health habits. Players keep their cards secret from the other players. When a player draws a card that is good and wants to take advantage of it, another player may object that it contradicts a previous card or cards. It is then checked, with rewards going to the one who is correct. In a similar manner, a player can claim that a "bad" card contradicts a previous card or cards and it is up to the opponents to catch him if he is lying.
