BB walked to Boston Post Road for repros [reproductions] of <u>FOREIGN INTRIGUE</u> and
<u>FREE FORM</u> rules.
I put the equipment from <u>THE BRAIN GAME</u> into a small box
and covered it with black contact.
Called <u>Bill Eckhar</u>t to <s>tell</s> suggest my coming there Friday after-
noon with the new version of <u>JUNGLE RACE</u>. I'm to call him
when my 10 A.M. meeting is ended and set a time.
<u>VIEWLINE</u> has been undergoing some testing with children and he
has some things to talk about it tomorrow.
To Felicia's look at some games she had there from old and
new clients:- | |||
<u>EPIS I</u> - a puzzle by <u>Dennis Ladouceur</u>. An upstanding shaft
has a series of projections many of which had further projec-
tions. The object was to fit a ring around the projections,
working it from projection to projection until it was [illegible word crossed out]
on the shaft. (We both found it too easy.)
<u>LONGEVITY</u>. (Just glanced at this.) Players draw cards to build
up a history of heredity and health habits. Players keep
their cards secret from the other players. When a player
draws a card that is good and wants to take advantage of
it, another player may object that it contradicts a
previous card or cards. It is then checked, with rewards
going to the one who is correct. In a similar manner, a
player can claim that a "bad" card contradicts a previous
card or cards and it is up to the opponents to catch him
if he is lying. | |||
<u>PSYCHOLOGICAL BLOCKS</u> (which <u>Stan Chess</u> brought to her this
morning and she thought it was fun. There are 23 wooden
pieces, each formed from 5 cubes put together in different
ways (is 23 the number of possible arrangements?). There
are 67 cards with the following single words, one on each
card: - Stupidity, Serenity, Cunning, Hunger, [illegible word crossed out] Femininity,
Anxiety, Youth, Nastiness, Fright, Platitude, Masculinity, Cruelty,
Illness, Monotony, Evil, Love, Immaturity, Time, Humor, Satisfaction,
Ugliness, Maturity, Indecision, Deviousness, Rebellion, Bravery, Hate,
Deprivation, Mysticism, Jealousy, Adversity, Lunacy, Conflict,
Verbosity, Pain, Grief, Wisdom, Beauty, Generosity, Incongruity,
Maladjustment, Graciousness, Disgust, Health, Obscurity, Wealth,
Ecstasy, Growth, Pride, Dream, Thirst, Tragedy, Vulnerability, Frivolity,
Virtue, Good, Greed, Age, Pain, Torture, Lethargy, Genious,
Insecurity, Stealth, Strength, Victory, Frigidity.
Any number can play but only 3 or 4 should participate in
each round. [Illegible word crossed out] Each participant draws three cards. He then
tries to construct a structure that conveys the thought of one
of them. A player can take whatever blocks he wishes - except
that he shouldn't be a pig. After the structures are com-
pleted all players, including those not in the round, choose one
of the three cards for each active player. A player scores
