27 MONDAY - NOVEMBER 1972

332ND DAY - 34 DAYS TO COME
----
At Houndslaw (I believe that's the spelling) near the airport bought
<u>MULTIPUZZLE</u>.
Dana told me that <u>Martin Gardner</u> had called during the week.
He said he'd send me a letter.
<u>Dale</u> gave me a letter that had been sent to <u>''S & T''</u> re-
questing information on the game <u>CONVENTION</u>. <u>Frank Davis</u>
is now the "Game Question Editor" and all I have to do is give
him the info and he'll write the letter.

Gave him the info he requested and he said he'll get
after the state about my refund.
Spoke to <u>Frank Davis</u> about <u>CONVENTION</u> (see 11/27). Substance
noted on original letter. (Filed with ''S & T'' material) [This
happened 11/30.]
Noticed an entry for <u>LE JEU DU CRACK</u> in '71 [1971] diary. Undoubtedly
this is the same as <u>CRACK</u>.
Call from <u>Felicia</u>, a little under the influence, in the even-
ing. I gathered that <u>Lillian Voegelin</u> was working with
<u>Benko</u> (of Ideal I believe) in knocking off the 3M line. Also
Dynamic Design is doing lousy with their line, like
<u>THE CITIES GAME</u> etc., and wants to do things just like 3M.
I mentioned that <u>AIRPORT</u> is in that category and she said that
that was the only game doing well. She has an appointment
with <u>Racinelli</u> on 12/6 and wants me to bring as many things
as possible.
<u>Walter Dykoski</u> called me about <u>STRATO TAC-TICS</u>. He has
rcd. [received] 3 orders [illegible word crossed out] at $11.50. Told him about the error in
my <u>''S & T''</u> column and apologized. He didn't know what to
do about the orders but was relieved when he learned
that I caught the <u>''BOOK WORLD''</u> column.
I mentioned the errors in the sample game and he asked
if I would send him a listing. Promised one by the end
of the coming weekend.
He will be sending me the rules for <u>CRESCENDO</u>, his ult-
imate game, and new [illegible word crossed out] octons with more holes as soon
as they ready, which will not be [illegible word crossed out] long.
He has given <u>Gini Scott</u> a [illegible word crossed out] reduction of 20%
on the price of his games for her members. He is a-
fraid she will be angry at the $11.50 price I quoted.
(Her club - <u>THE AMERICAN GAMES ASSOCIATION</u>.)
