SUNDAY NEXT BEFORE ADVENT - 331ST DAY - 35 DAYS TO COME
----
To Cambridge with BB for visit with <u>Don Turnbull</u>. He
picked us up at the railroad station soon after returning
from the AHIKS meeting in Bath. He introduced <u>TRIPPPLES</u> at
the meeting and it was popular. Pam liked it too.
Told Don my rules for 2-hand <u>SLEUTH</u>.
Don had 3 games he thought I might not know [illegible word crossed out]: - <br>
<u>THE WARLORD</u> - Told him I had it and that I was waiting for
a word on price, etc. before reviewing it. He'll tell the people
to contact me. <br>
<u>BATTLE ROYALE</u> -  was pretty sure I had it but since he had 2
sets of rules I took one. (I do have it.) <br>
<u>TAXI</u> - thought I had some info on it. (Found I have it.)
We spoke about <u>ELEUSIS</u>. I told him about <u>DELPHI</u> and promised
to send him a repro [reproduction] of the riles. I'll also send him the
material on <s>the</s> <u>THE CITIES GAME</u> that came from the magazine,
since I now have the boxed version.
He wanted to pay me for the games I've been sending him. Only if
I can pay for the copies of <u>''ALBION''</u>!
He gave me copies of no.19 thru [through] no. 26. Also a copy of no. 33 which
he had on hand and didn't have to reproduce. The remaining
ones he'll give to Omar when he visits to mail to me here. <br>
No. 19 - Review of <u>FLYING FORTRESS II</u>.<br>
No. 20 - <u>DEPLOYMENT</u>. Discussion of <u>Don Miller</u>'s <u>NFFF</u> Games
Bureau and the contents of <u>THE GAMESMAN</u> no. 1.<br>

Another discussion of <u>ABSTRACTION</u>. Mention of <u>CONFLICT</u>, <u>WARI</u>, <u>PHALANX</u>,
<u>THE JUNGLE GAME</u>, <u>RIMAU-RIMAU</u>, and <u>BALYNA CRICKET</u>.<br>
No. 25 - Description of <u>ABSTRACTION</u> - but the loose map was missing.<br>

a game <u>CLERVAUX</u> which features Street Fighting.<br>
Don didn't have an extra copy of no. 35 but I looked at it, at the
game <u>SQUARRUMS</u>. It was simply the <u>PENTOMINOS GAME</u> as given in
<u>Martin Gardner</u>'s column, except that he told the readers to
draw up a 12 x 12 field and to cut the polyominos out of another
12 x 12 sheet of cardboard. He (<u>V.R. Parton</u>, that is) didn't give
the entire layout of the pieces, instead giving some sug-
gested quadrominos, pentominos, and hexominos and then tell-
ing the reader to set up their own.

Sunday <u>''TIMES''</u> had the following ads: <u>HYPERCHECKERS</u> and <u>HYPERCHESS</u>
