25 SATURDAY - NOVEMBER 1972

330TH DAY - 36 DAYS TO COME
----
Realized that I had bought Spear's SUPERPUZZLE instead of
MULTIPUZZLE which I really wanted. Looked for it in
Harrods and Hamleys - without success.
In Hamleys I did see a German import ROTASCRIPT. Looked
at it very quickly so only got a very rough idea. There
is a large supply of letter squares. Players, working in-
dependently and not waiting for turns, draw letters and
put them towards making a word. If can't use it must
return it before taking another. After one word is com-
pleted can start another. [illegible word crossed out] Round ends after a
timer elapses (I believe). Don't know the scoring, except
that there is some kind of penalty for having letters
that are not being used towards a word.
The set contains letters for languages other than
English (such as [illegible word crossed out] ø and æ from Danish) and lists
which to remove for different languages.

From Martin Gardner rcd. [received] a letter sent to him from Holland,
An Institution would like to publish my PATTERNS II as a
