details of how the words were scored.
Took a catalog. Among others, showed BIG BOSS, COMBAT, DIPLOMACY, WORLD SOCCER, THE GILLETTE CUP, BIG LEAGUE, CHARTBUSTER, SUBBUTEO TABLE SOCCER, KALAHA, IMPOSSIBALL. (Discarded rest and filed games in '72 Misc.)

Michael took bus back to Paddington Sta. BB and I to Claude Gill book store. Bought [illegible strikeout] BATTLE! PRACTICAL WARGAMING (by Charles Grant, who also wrote THE WAR GAME - see 10/20). Also bought THE PAN BOOK OF CARD GAMES thinking it was a later edition than the one I had. (Later found it was the same, but the old one had yellowed. Put the new one in the collection.)

I hotel was given a message from Graeme apologizing for not meeting us today for lunch. (Discarded.)

Rcd. the copy of the NEWSDAY magazine with the article on George Bredehorn. Also a note from Stan Chess. Among other things has his puzzles BOXWORD and LINKWORDS. Mentions CLUEWORD and REQUISITE.

Michael also had complained about some cards that Graeme hadn't returned. Graeme will contact Michael and clear up their misunderstandings.

I told him that since he hadn't mentioned anything about it on Monday I had reentered negotiations with Coin Haycraft. He said I might miss the initial items in the series by waiting. I'll let him know as soon as I can
