321ST DAY - 45 DAYS TO COME

Call from Ken Morgan. His lawyer says that the S.E.C. info on R.G.I. is common knowledge and that I can tell Felicia all about it.

Rcd. [received] a thank you from Eve Auchincloss for my revised BOOK WORLD column. She was most impressed with the typing. Rcd. [received] an ad sheet from A.H. Nothing at all new. (Discarded.)

Did a little work on my ACQUIRE piece but, due to problems with the water main, couldn't accomplish much.

Call from Claude. He'd like me, if I am in the book stores, to look for a copy of Murray's A HISTORY OF CHESS (up to $30). He's also like me to check with Pierre about the French copy of WATCH (IF) and if he can get a copy. (He offered to pay the first $5 of a call.)

Called Bill Eckhart. JUNGLE RACE looks like it will be dropped. It is not hard to play, but it seems impossible to write rules that children can expt understand by themselves. VIEWLINE looks like a "go". Both will go thru [through] more testing before there is a final decision. I asked and he told me that KLOMP-IT is doing very well.

Later thought of making JUNGLE RACE a single track game, with movement to the next forward space with the animal and position called - and with some provision for backward movement. Put lines on my sketch of the existing board to make a single track.

Called Felicia to tell her of my call to G.A.G. She is glad about VIEWLINE Told her about the S.E.C., saying a friend had tipped me off. She'll tell Freidjut, altho [although] it is undoubtedy [undoubtedly] not necessary.
