Wrote up a letter to <u>Joel Gaines</u> (<u>Prince Djoli Kansi</u>) on
<u>REALM</u> and <u>MONTAGE</u>. <u>Phil</u> called and I read it to him.
<u>Phil</u> heard from <u>Herb Hochstetter</u>. He will try to set up an ap-
pointment at Post the week I get back.
Phil <s> called Carl Eise</s> spoke to <u>Carl Eisenberg</u>. Carl doesn't seem in
too much of a hurry with the 2nd set of p. and p. games.
Call from <u>Felicia</u>. She suggested that I get in touch with
<u>Oliver O'Connor Barrett</u> [address]
while in London. Told her I'd give him a call. One thing I
should tell him is never to send models before getting go-ahead.
When I see <u>Graeme Levin</u> I should tell him that she won't be
able to do anything until after X'Mas [Christmas]. Also she'll need more
magazines. Also when she called the people who were supposed
to be handling <u>G & P</u> they didn't seem to know it at all.
I asked her about <u>THE COUNTER GAME</u> and she reminded me that
it was simply a gadget operated by one hand (I believe)
that is linked to a counter and timer. Object to "beat the
record" of the number of operations in a set time.
Doubleday is thinking of going into games and has made a big
survey. The only two 3M games that game up are <u>SLEUTH</u>
and <u>TWIXT</u>. Panker and M.B. games ran away with the survey.
She heard that Hallmark will be spending $60,000,000 on T.V. in '73 [1973].
She thinks that Stancraft is horrible to work with. They
wanted <u>Flach</u> to make changes in his <u>WINDOWS</u>. He did
and sent it to them a long time ago. Now they act as if
they didn't receive it. (It may have been the post office.)
2nd call from <u>Felicia</u>. <u>Jac Freidgut</u>, the inventor of
<u>GOLD</u> (<u>HIGH FINANCE</u>) may have someone to take over R.G.I.
she called <u>Bob Gellman</u> and he told her he has 3 pros-
pective customers for the company, but will talk to Freidgut.
I called <u>Ken Morgan</u> to ask him if I could tell Felicia a-
bout the S.E.C. notice he sent me. He suggested that I just tell
Felicia that she suggest to Freidgut that he chekc with the S.E.C.
I am pretty sure that he will in any case.
3rd call from <u>Felicia</u>. She wondered if I had seen anything
worthwhile in my date on 11/3. Yes, 2 (<u>CLUE-WORDS</u> and
<u>MULLIGAN</u>) but <u>George Bredehorn</u> is going to be written
up in <u>NEWSDAY</u> and doesn't want to do anything before seeing
the results from that.
Rcd. [received] a copy of the new version of <u>NEW TOWN</u> from <u>John
Wilkerson</u> of Harwell Assoc., together with a letter.
Started work on my article on <u>ACQUIRE</u> for <u>G. & P.</u>
