Marvin Kaye called about getting my books back to me. I'll meet him tomorrow at his studio in the Carnegie Hall Studio bldg. [building] ([address] ) Tomorrow at 1:30.

Wrote to EARL PEREL. Mainly to tell her that Claude wasn't angry with him. Wrote to Mrs. Harold J. Horne, an S & T reader, who sent me a stamped- self-addressed envelope with her questions on company adresses. (see 8/18) Wrote to Omar DeWitt telling him I was going to England. Mentioned his 221B and my FOCUS.
Sent Irv. Lubow duplicate requests for the rights to TAM-BIT and TAKE FIVE to be returned. Asked him to sign and return to me.
Started a letter to Roger Verhulst, but didn't have time to go far on it.

At night called Jerry D'Arcey. He is home recuperating from his heart attack. It was a scary one.
He told me about his game TOP DOG. 20 small dog figures are packed in a bone, which breaks apart to serve as shakers. He ex- plained the 2-hand version (but 3 or 4 can also play). Each player takes 10 of the dogs and they each shake them out. The dogs usually land lying down, but occasionally they land sitting up. the player with greater number of sitting dogs takes the sitting dogs of the other player. Continue until one player is out of dogs. Jerry can't decide whether to put it out himself and sell it to a big company. Hans Goldschmidt (spelling?) thinks the latter. Jerry will send me a set soon - he has some kind of a mold for producing the dogs.
He asked if I had a copy of DEALER MCDOPE DEALING GAME yet. Told him "no." He said he'd see that I get one.

been placed by each player, each player may place another peg, may change one of his placed pegs to another position with the same end up, or may reverse the ends of one of his pegs in the same hole.
When the black-white peg is placed it can be placed either way and can be changed in the same way as any other peg. The white side can be considered as any color, the black side as no color.
The object is to place a peg so as to get three in a row of the same color, regardless of who they belong to.

After trying twice I called Pierce Promotions and got Jen in. Came there (from ChildCraft) and picked up IMAGE and ACQUIRE. Left the S & T column with MR. PRESIDENT.

Felicia called while I was out. The date next Tuesday is changed to 2:00 p.m. - To see FIRE ISLAND LINGO.
