3 TUESDAY - OCTOBER 1972
ST. THERESA - 277TH DAY - 89 DAYS TO COME
Marylin yesterday told the gal at Goodson-Todman
(spelling?) about me. She thought I might be suitable
as a celebrity for "To Tell the Truth." She, Rosanne Kahn,
suggested that I call Andrea Girard. Did. She didn't
think I was right for my her program but connected me
with Miss Pam Ferguson, What's My Line? [address]
(PL 1 - 0600)
She was interested and asked me to send a resumé and
photograph.
Called Arthur. They haven't heard from Wexler yet. Told him I'd bring one or two new things. They'll bring OPEN CITY.
Stan Chess (who contacted me after reading AGOG) called. He has a friend, George Bredehorn, who has made up quite a few games, the bulk of them word games. Stan would like to have the 3 of us get together, either out in Long Island where he is now, or here. I begged off for a few weeks while I catch up. Stand will send me a copy of Bredehorn's game REQUISITE. Bredehorn is going to have a large article on him in a weekend edition of NEWSDAY soon, as a teacher who makes up games and uses them in the classroom. Stan writes a column on bicycles for the WASHINGTON POST and is trying to get it syndicated. He is also trying to syndicate some of Bredehorn's puzzles.
Looked at HAVING A WONDERFUL TIME and will bring it for Wexler to see at the next meeting. Doing some more thinking on bringing my NEWTOWN up to date.
Jack Davis called. They have one copy of IMAGE which I can pick up. Also I can get NEOCHESS and BID & BLUFF. When I known when I'll be downtown I'll contact him.
Saw an ad for ODYSSEY on TV. No price given.
(cont. from 10/2)[10/2]
the gal was late.
To cocktail party for the introduction of THE HOWARD HUGHES GAME at the Four Seasons, with BB. Talked to Sue, and Kirby, and Dick Rosen. They'll send a copy of the game. Took ad sheets and a glossy.
Claude called. He pushed me to look at the games I have (cont. on 9/25)
