14 THURSDAY - SEPTEMBER 1972
258TH DAY - 108 DAYS TO COME
While a "warm body" again I wrote the rules for VIEWLINE. Bought some pencils, erasors [erasers], and a game CRUMMY RUMMY at the "Hardware Jungle."
Dimissed [dismissed] early and walked to Canal St. looked at the plastic
stores. Their prices are high. Bought 100 plastic discs in
a number of 10 different colors for $3.50.
To Felicia's. Not in. Left the rules for PROFIT and PAYOFF across the hall.
At Kopy-Kwik bought 8 dozen colored pencils for $1.50; a package of 1 1/2" x 3" self-stik labels; and a $1 package of correct-o-type.
Played VIEWLINE with BB testing a scoring variation. First player to complete one line score 1 point; first to com- plete 2 lines scores 2 points; etc. up to 6 points for 6 lines. It worked fairly well, but I decided (and BB insisted) that it wasn't worth including. // BB typed the rules.
Arthur called while I was out. Date next Tuesday morning - B & B at 10.
Claude called. Earl called him earlier. I called Earl and arranged for him to come here for supper tomorrow night, and to sleepover. Earl already spoke to Peter and he's busy. I called Izzy. He'd like to come, but has a CHESS tournament Saturday. Called Claude and told him the arrangements.
Made up the equipment for GRASS ROOTS and POST HASTE.

chance to play.
Earl met an insurance man (H. Chester Slocum Jr., Manager Equal Opportunity Staff Personnel Dept., Equitable Life Assurance Society, [phone number]) who is interested in a GAME that will teach school children about Insurance, and Earl told him about our group. Earl wants me to call him and explore it fur- ther, but I said I don't want to take on any new projects now. Earl left me Slocum's card and asked me to call him when I was less loaded.
Earl slept over and the 2 of us walked Claude to the subway. (Phil and Dale had the car on a trip to Canada.)
