<br>29 TUESDAY - AUGUST 1972
<br>242ND DAY - 124 DAYS TO COME

----
To B & B. Met <u>Claude</u> and Raymond. Had to wait about 10
minutes for <u>Wexler</u>. Then <u>Wald</u> came a little later.
<u>Arthur</u> didn't come. He passed out, probably due to his
diabetes, and hurt his head. He seemed O.K. but not
able to come. Wald had the material for <u>POWER</u> he
picked up at <u>Felicia</u>'s but Arthur was supposed to bring
everything else.
I showed <u>UP THE ORGANIZATION</u>. Played til the first pro-
motion. Played pretty well.
<u>Claude</u> showed <u>SPLIT PERSONALITY</u>. Basically each player had
two face halfs [halves] with arrows to indicate the
direction they move. [drawing of a square with a vertically bisected circle inside, left half has an arrow pointing up and right side has an arrow pointing down. There is an upsidedown arch drawn below the arrows across the vertical line which resembles a frown] They start at opposite
ends of the board and object is to get to-
gether. Can only get together when travel-
ing in opposite directions on same path. Move by throw
of 2 dice, one for each. When land on an "N" space
take a Neurosis <s>space take a</s> card. These can be gotten
rid of by landing on a Psychologist space or by landing
on a "fellow man." When land on a "D" space take a "Dream"
card. These can be used whenever the player desires to
move the number (from 1 to 10) on the card. Also when land
on another player go again, so player can extend his
move considerably. A player wins when he gets his
personality together, gets rid of his Neuroses and
Dreams and lands on a special space. (Fairly complete idea)
Showed <u>WAR & PEACE</u> and I had to improvise a lot as we
played. Finished a complete game. <u>Wexler</u> suggested using
only one die instead of two to speed up the game and it
did. Needs considerable work.
<u>Wexler</u> was disappointed that he didn't have anything to take
back with him. Made date for next Wednesday and Claude
and I will have our rules completed. I asked, and Wexler
wants me to complete the window dressing for <u>UP THE ORGANIZATION</u>.
I started to show <u>INVASION</u> but Wexler said bring it next week.
<u>Wald</u> will bring <u>CASINO ROYALE</u>, <u>THE INVISIBLE MAN</u> (which
he says is a development of <u>BORDERLINE</u>), and <u>POWER</u> next
week.
We will get another $2,000 each next week. Also he'll
tell us the absolute deadline for getting games in.
Wald asked, and Wexler said that <u>BALANCE OF POWER</u> is
almost certainly in the line, altho he doesn't sign contracts.
I asked Wald about his hidden information <u>CHESS</u> game
played with pegs - how do you know when a King is in
check? You don't. The object is to locate and capture the
king.
The morning <u>Felicia</u> called BB when she couldn't find the
rules to <u>POWER</u> and then again after hearing of
<u>Arthur</u>'s fall. BB said she didn't know where I was re-
laxing for the day, and was afraid that <u>Wald</u> or <u>Ar-</u>
